When the Signal Processing Cup 2021 was announced, we formed our team, โ€œT-Cubedโ€, composed of second and third-year undergraduates from the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

We worked on the problem for ~4 months and it was a massive team effort by our team ! โ™ฅ๏ธ

We thank Dr. Prathapasinghe Dharmawansa for guiding us throughout the competition and we would like to also convey our sincere gratitude to Dr. Chathuranga Weeraddana for his valuable insights which greatly improved our final presentation.

Configuring an Intelligent Reflecting Surface for Wireless Communications: Highlights from the 2021 IEEE Signal Processing Cup student competition [SP Competitions]
The shape of a surface determines how it interacts with wireless radio-frequency signals. Taking a homogenous metal plate as an example, we can bend and rotate it in different ways to make the incident wireless signal become diffusely or specularly reflected in the desired manner.
